As the seasons change, so does our skin and the products we use to take care of it. The products I use can change pretty frequently because I am always testing out new products for y’all to see how I like them before you go out and spend your money on them. These products though are some of my favorites that I have been using for a few weeks now and have done great things for my skin (& hopefully they will for yours too)!
We all have different types of skin, so some of these products may work better on some types more than others. Let me tell y’all a little bit about my skin so you can compare and see if you think these products will work for you as well. I have always had acne here and there. As I’ve gotten older, it is way less than it used to be and now it is mostly hormonal acne around that time of the month. My skin is incredibly thick (weird I know), so I have found that the more often I exfoliate, the better because it really gets deep down in my pores and scrubs all that dirt away. I also have moderately oily skin in my T-zone so exfoliation also helps with the oil buildup. In the winter, my skin will get pretty dry if I don’t moisturize it, so keeping it balanced is key.
Now onto these products that I have been using…….
I use this face wash two times a day, once in the morning to start with a clean slate and at night to wash away all the dirt and makeup. This is an exfoliating wash, so depending on how sensitive your skin is, I would recommend trying it out maybe once a day at first and see how your skin reacts. The smell of this face wash is divine and the best part is you can get it at almost any grocery store, drugstore, or superstore like Target.
This is my absolute favorite beauty product and will be repurchased repeatedly, let me tell you why. This gives your skin a boost of hydration and energy, and the smell is divine. I spray this on in the morning and night after washing my face. It smells so refreshing and leaves your skin dewy. I have the 4 oz. bottle and it was only $7 at Ulta, which is a steal compared to most prices I have paid for beauty products.
If you are looking for a lightweight moisturizer, this is it. I wear this at night to restore my skin, especially in the winter months. It has a light powdery smell, and really blend into your skin smoothly giving it all the hydration it needs. This moisturizer is at a great price point at only $29, and the jar will last you quite a while because you only need a small amount each use.
After traveling, my lips have been so dry and flaky lately. I use this scrub once a week to remove all of the dead skin, and then apply the lip mask to restore them. The lip mask is really smooth and you can either leave it on for a while and wash it off, or just let it absorb into your skin. These products make my lips so soft and smooth, and in between uses I wear chapstick at night to keep them moisturized.
Not only does the skin on our face need to be moisturized in the winter, but so does the rest of our body. I like to use the L’Occitane body lotion after I bathe to lock in the moisture and keep my skin soft. This lotion is lightweight and melts into your skin so you don’t feel that heavy oily feel like you do from some other lotions. If your skin gets itchy in the winter time, try applying a lotion like this one and see if that helps.
If you have any questions about any of these products or have any products that you have been loving ad would like to share I’d love to hear!
